Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSOs) at Park View

We are the Junior Road Safety Officers at Park View, and our mission is to promote road safety across our school community in a fun, engaging, and informative way. Through assemblies, posters, videos, and interactive activities, we help raise awareness about staying safe on and around roads.

Our team receives training from the Road Safety Team, who equip us with valuable knowledge and creative ideas to bring back to school. During training sessions, we also meet JRSOs from other schools, giving us the chance to share strategies and learn new ways to communicate important safety messages.

Our goal is to ensure that all young people at Park View understand the dangers of the road from an early age and know how to stay safe.

What We Do Throughout the Year:

• Keep road safety information current and relevant
• Speak in assemblies about key road safety themes
• Organise fun and educational competitions
• Award certificates to celebrate road safety achievements
• Use the JRSO website to gather fresh ideas
• Help select and support next year’s JRSOs
