We were nominated by Festival Place to work with the Beardy Gardener. Children attended an afternoon workshop in school. The theme of the workshop was Friendship Gardens, so the children talked about wellbeing and how having a garden helps with friendship and mental health. In a craft session, the children made bees which will be used for their project in Festival Place.  The children also created verses with the guitarist for a song which will be included in a theatre show at The Anvil. Children planted flower seeds which they took home to monitor their growth. To end the session, the children showed the Beady Gardener and his team what they had been growing in the school gardening club and were given tips to improve their garden. It was such a fantastic afternoon for the children.
