Year 4's Trip to Gilbert White Study Centre in Selborne

On Friday 27th April 2018 Year 4 went on a field study trip to the 'Gilbert White Centre' and this was to conincide with their next topic 'Concrete Jungle'.  Here the children were going to learn all about the animals and insects that could be found in their local environment. 

The day was sectioned into two parts.  The first being looking at antlers, bones, taxidermy animals and footprints. The children had to identify which animals they all belonged to and also discussed if they would see those animals within their local environment. 

After lunch the next task was to venture outside and locate and identify different insects found in the Study centre grounds. The weather was not on our side
