Year 4/5 Football Tournament

On Monday 17th of September Year 4 and 5 participated in the schools first football tournament of the season. Due to us only being back at school a couple of weeks and the team not having played together before, we started slowly with 2 - 1 defeat. From this moment on, we picked ourselves up and through good resilience and determination we managed to win our next group stage game 1 - 0. From there we went from strength to strength comfortably winning our way through the group games to the knock out stages. Unfortunately, we lost in the semi finals to the eventual tournament winners! This put us into a hard fought 3rd and 4th place play off final against our first opponent. This time however the result was different, we battled strongly and managed to win the game 1 - 0. Out of a tournament of 16 school teams in Basingstoke, we managed to end up 3rd! Well done Year 4 and 5!
