At Park View, we want to provide our children with information and experiences that allow them to succeed throughout their life and have high aspirations for their future.
Alongside the PSHE curriculum and wider enrichment provision, we plan for annual themed activities taht will provide our children with knowledge and skills to thrive.
Be Healthy Week
Mid-June Park View primary host 'Be Healthy Week'. This week utilises assembly, PSHE and reading time to explore how to make healthy choices. each year there is a specific focus in school and challenges are sent home for families to try.
Sports days are held during 'Be Healthy Week' and we encourage children to explore new forms of physical activity.
2023 - Focus was eating a balanced diet
2024 - focus was being active and sleeping well.

Be Health week 2024: Connect 4 challenge
We challenged our families to complete 4 challenges that make up a row in the grid.
From all completed sheets, a winner was drawn from KS1 and KS2 with the children winning outdoor games.
2022 will see the launch of our annual Bee Safe Week. In the final week of the year, children will be reminded of important safety information about:
Sun safety
Water Safety
Road Safety
Online Safety
After a very convincing by the Year 3 pupils, children in Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) will also receive some basic First Aid training.
Extra-Curricular Activities Fair
Following our Sports Day, towards the end of the Year, we will be inviting the organisers of groups and clubs that meet across Basingstoke. Our hope is that children and parents will discover the amazing opportunities that are available to them
