Welcome to Year 5!
We really enjoyed meeting you and getting to know you better. We are looking forward to a fun year ahead.
During Autumn term, PE will be on Wednesdays.
Please make sure you have full PE kit in school.
We will also be swimming on Mondays (and Wednesdays in September).

Ancient Civilisations Day
During the Ancient Civilisations Day, we learnt about when and where the civilisations of Ancient Egypt, Ancient Sumer, Indus Valley and Shang Dynasty developed. We looked at key features of each of the cultures including, leadership, weapons and trading.
We explored a range of artefacts and tried to group them to the correct civilisation. As-well-as look at examples of tombs, and their burial goods, from each civilisation; considering what we can learn about the individual and the wider society.
