Design Technology


In 2025 we introduced a new approach to DT. We adjusted our units to have a real world focus. Making sure the children explore and identify Design, Technology and Engineering features in everyday products. Each unit has a planned outcome that has clearly identified product, user and purpose.
Where possible, we use Design Technology to enhance the Enquiry question and the History/Geography learning in each unit. Below is the DT coverage for 2025-2026, including where there are links to wider learning.
