Music

Music at Park View is taught in Years 2, 3 and 4 by a music specialist from Hampshire Music Service, the service provide a wide variety of musical instruments for the children to play on a rotational basis. In other years music is taught by the class teacher. We use the Collin Connect Music Express scheme to ensure that musical learning is of a high standard in all years.

In addition, there is a weekly singing assembly in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 where children are taught musical vocabulary while develop their vocal skills.

Throughout their time at Park View, children have a variety of performance opportunities including a nativity for Reception and Year 1 children, Christmas carol concert for Years 3 and 4, and end of year productions for years 2 and 6.

Choir and Rocky Steady

At Park View we strive to provide additional music opportunity for our children. There is a choir that meets once a week and performs annually, with other local schools, at the Anvil theatre.

Rock steady provide a weekly music lesson focussed on band performances.
